The Fiance and I currently living abroad but need to send out our engagement party invitations to our friends and family back in the States. Anyone use a good mailing service they can recommend?
We know of vistaprint postcards, but want enveloped invitations istead. And no we are not sticking our folks back home with the task of stuffing and adressing our invitations. 🙂

I don’t know of a service that provides this, but you cold still do notecards/envelopes from vistaprint. For an engagement party, the envelopes wouldn’t need to be handwritten-labels are ok. So if you send someone an excel or word file with the names, it shouldn’t take more than an hour (depending on # of guests) to do this- I don’t think that would be asking too much. 🙂

Hey there. What country are you in? Why not just have them shipped to you, address them, and have them sent from where you live? Maybe have them RSVP to your parent’s address? Is the problem literally the mail or you just don’t have time to do it?
We are also abroad, and faced this dilemma. I’m in Afghanistan so getting anything here is a giant “Could show up, but probably won’t.” We’re using multiple piece invitations as well, but we ended up having multiple people actually volunteer to fill them out for us. I had my Great Aunt do the STDS. I’m just about to order the actual invitations for the party, but think I’m going to recruit my cousin to do the actual invitations. After all, they are slightly more complicated (numbering the back and making sure the amount of seats are correct) so I think I’ll take my cousin up on her offer to help me this time.

@Mrs.LemonDrop: we’re in Israel. Holy Land postal service isn’t exactly holy itself – not super reliable. Plus it’d be really expensive not to mention silly and roundabout to mail the invitations from here. But we might get them shipped here, assemble/adress them here and then ship in bulk to our parents to simply add stamps and throw in the mail.
@rebwana: thanks for the tip, good idea.
