DH and I would love to do a vow renewal in Vegas someday! I think it would be a lot of fun.
Personally though, I find 1 year to be really early for a vow renewal. For us, it would be something that we would do for our 10 year anniversary or something.
My friends did a Vegas vow renewal last August; they had a blast! They wore these ridicuolous outfits (a square dancing dress and a blue ruffle tuxedo), and were married my Herman Munster. Totally awesome and wacky. :)
There are a million chapels within walking distance of the Mirage, so if you don't want to plan ahead, you don't have to.
@FutureKMM: Yeah, we're going Heidi Klum and Seal style and thinking about doing it every year! We were together for 7 years before we got married, so the actual wedding/commitment/vows was a huge deal. I'm dying to do it again ;)
@hotchildinthecity: We decided that every year for our anniversary we would do a vow renewal, even if it was just us. Our first year we are doing in Vegas because that was the first place we went as a married couple (stopped there on our hm)
Ask the Mirage to set it up or recommend something. Lots of the hotels have chapels in them, or work with small chapels, exactly for this reason.

Every year just wouldn't feel right to DH and I but to each their own! :)
Yay Vegas! We had our legal marriage cermony there with Elvis in front of the Vegas sign. We totally loved it! We used A Elvis Chapel. They are really nice and the Elvis is awesome. We had some trouble with the pictures so we had to re do them the next night, but they were really good about it. And a limo to/from the hotel is included (to their chapel or the sign) in the package.
Husband & I just did renewed our vows (10 years) in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Sign too (Then we went to Tulum, Mexico) *
We loved it (Also with same Elvis, he was great)

That's a great idea! We had our legal ceremony last month at a Las Vegas park in front of a Gazebo (We went through Scenic Las Vegas Weddings) and it was fantastic, but didn't have anything cheesy or Elvis included. We might do the cheesy Elvis wedding as well in Vegas for our vow renewal, but probably not until at least our 10 year anniversary. If that's really what you guys wanna do, I say go for it!

Hubs and I just celebrated our first year anniversary. We're going to Vegas in August with my sister and her FI. I was thinking of surprising my guy with a vow renewal, but Vegas style. You know, little white chapel, Elvis impersantor...
This would have to be on the strip, because we'll be staying at the Mirage with no car. Ideas?
