We're having a Sunday noon ceremony.  I'm in a knee length dress.  There are no attendants save my two year old nephew, our ring bearer.  Their parents lobbied for the exception ;) so cute.

So no tuxes and we've been having trouble finding a suit that suits him / he likes.   We finally found a couple yesterday, but they are in the $500 range.

Here's a lost lady in a man's world asking...has anyone heard of renting high-end suits?  We're in NYC and marrying one hour from Philly, if there's anything in either city that rings a bell.

My only guess is Men's Warehouse, but I'm not even sure if they rent suits.  Maybe you can try to find an expensive suit on a clearance rack at Macy's or Nordstrom (or even Nordstrom Rack).

    Good luck!

Oh - I just thought of this too - maybe check overstock.com if he is a fairly average size (FI is 6'8" so we have go to a speciality store for his!).

I really REALLY wanted 3 piece suits for the GM for my wedding and could not find them to rent anywere, so instead I went to men's wearhouse and found a tux that has a grey pinstripe and gives off a more suit-y feel.Good luck on your quest!

You can rent a suit from Jim's Formal Wear. If you go to their website they will give you a list of locations... most of the time they sell through bridal stores.

I know Men's Wearhouse does not rent suits and honestly, I went to check out their stuff and thought renting a decent tux there was too expensive. We've seen plenty of suits at Nordstrom Rack, Macy's, Amazon, etc for the same or not much more money than renting. We plan on purchasing a suit as he'll use it again. I've looked online for mens suit rentals and didn't find anything.

So are you just looking for one suit for your fiance?  Definitely shop the sales racks and get on the email lists for Nordstrom, etc.

Also, since you're from NYC, you should visit Woodbury Commons - my dad got a new Brooks Brothers suit at their outlet store for under $500.  Maybe try to head up there over Columbus Day weekend, there are sure to be some great sales.  There are shuttle buses from Port Authority on the weekends.

H&M actually has totally decent suiting for VERY inexpensive. I just went to a wedding where the groom wore H&M suiting and he looked great! Check it out:

Is there a K&G in your area? They have very affordable suits, cheaper then renting a tux. Also if there is a Macy's nearby, they have great sales and 40% coupons quite often. A $500 suit there could end up being half, after the discounts and coupons.

I second Jos A Banks. Is your FH possibly in business for himself? Jos A Banks offers this special membership (it's free) for people with their own business (any business...my bro is in constuction and was able to do this) where you can get suits up to 70% off! They have some great looking suits.

I second H&M; my fiance is wearing a suit from there that cost $249 CAD!  And he can definitely wear it again.  But you'll have to go to a large H&M because we only saw a good selection at the downtown Toronto big store, most of the smaller stores seem to have a tiny men's section.

You can rent suits, but have you considered wearing something new or something he already has or will wear again? My sister's sister in law did this for her wedding and I totally stole the idea-my guys are wearing khaki pants and navy jackets. My FI had both, but ended up getting new ones of both-silkier/dressier khakis with a white long sleeve shirt and a new navy jacket. We bought all of the ties that the guys will be wearing in varying shades and designs of the same color that matches my BM dresses. FI didn't mind spending the money to buy something that is a wardrobe staple for guys and he will be wearing quite a bit to church and other functions. It was a real budget saver for our groomsmen too.

I went to a bridal show in my area today and found a local formal menswear place and they told me they rent suits. I would research ones in your area to see if any of them will rent!
