are you a AAA member? Thay have great rate discounts with Hertz. The membership isn't that expensive per year and you might end up saving more on the car rental than you spent on the AAA membership. We are using ours for our honeymoon car rental - it's saving us $200 to $250 on a week-long rental.

check through your own auto insurance, i know geico works a lot with enterprise and they usually have a better discount rate - check your insurance company's website to see if they have a "discounts" tab and check it out. when i'm looking for a coupon code i google the company and coupon code. i.e. "hertz rental coupon code".
I just rented a car through Costco. So if your a member to Costco or Sam's club, try them! I did it online through the Costco website and it was easy.

Hi ladies! Does anyone have any tips or codes for getting a cheaper rental car rate? I am trying the usual travel sites (hotwire, kayak, etc.) to book a rental car for our wedding in Colorado and it's sooooo expensive right now. I don't get married until May, so I have time to keep looking for a deal, but any advice/tips/codes/coupons would be appreciated. Ideally we would love to rent an SUV or Minivan to have more room to haul all of our wedding stuff, but even a full size car is costing more than our hotel room!
