Hi girls,
I am having trouble finding an answer, in regards to rentals.
My venue provides tables and chairs, my catering company only provides throw away plates, cups, and untinsels. Soooo I want to rent glassware, dishes and utensils. My question is how many of each thing should I rent? I have estimating 100 guests, but I know I should order more than just 100 of each, but have no clue what that magic number is. I know when I have been to weddings each time I have a drink, for instance, a new glass is provided, this must add up incredibly fast. In my area the average price for glassware is .50 / glass!
For those of you that rented your place settings through a rental company, how much of each item did you rent? Was this enough or too much?
My other question is regarding buying vs renting. For whatever reason I have seen linen companies online that are cheaper to BUY linens than what the rental company charges. Fot those of you that bought linens or glassware for that matter, was it a hassle to have to wash, store, and possibly sell after your wedding? Or was the savings worth it in the end?
