Ok, so i went to a florist last week, and we want tall centerpieces, and we went over everything and when i got home, i saw the breakdown of everything, and foun that the centerpiece are rental vases.  Hmmm..that kind of turned me off..i know that we can probably look for vases, but i'm not sure where, plus, it's more of a hassle if anything..what do you guys think???...

Vases are expensive!  That is what I learned.  If you can find a decent deal, you could buy them and then sell them yourself to recoup your money.  But you do have to think about storing them, transporting them, etc.

how much are the rental vases? is there a reason that you don't want to rent? i know that i have 17 vases that i don't know what to do with after my wedding, so if it's a good price i wouldn't have minded renting.

Well, the thing is, usually the guests take home the centerpieces (well weddings i've been to in the past have done that)..and i wonder, if the vases are rental, what happnes to all the flowers after?..u pay so much money for them..what happens to it afterwards..hmmm..i'm kind of leaning towards the other florist i had spoken with...

as Melv0802 mentioned, my only advise is to be careful if you rent them that they dont go walkies after the wedding.  for my nephew's wedding we were on vase watch because his fathers side of the family steal anything not nailed down and some people were stockpiling vases/flowers under tables to take them home. we let people take the flowers home (provided plastic bags for the stems) but they had to leave the vases

We're renting the vases from my florist. It's allowing us to do our tall vases MUCH more cheaply. The other florist we taked to told us we had to buy them and that they would cost us $40-50 per vase. Her price was $120/arrangement and our florist is only charging $30.
