Hi SD Bees,

I'm trying to be hepful to my FMIL as she is planning our second reception/dinner party in North County for July...and was wondering what places had good prices for rentals?

We are holding the reception at the home of some family friends and will need rentals for approx 70-75 people. Our caterer said it would be $10-15/person for rentals (including tables, chairs, linens and dishes.) We're not doing anyythign fancy )i.e. no chiavari) and all the linens will be whtie by FMIL's request.
Does this seem right? Do you think we can find things for cheaper? Where are you getting your rentals from?

Yeah, that sounds pretty good to me. Our caterer quoted us about $17/person for rentals (for the basic stuff, from Classic Party rentals). I think the prices for most of the rental places in San Diego are about the same.

Platinum Party Rental is a company that has cheap rentals. Some of the ladies on another site I frequent (Bridal Insider) recommend it. Good luck!

Allie's Party Rentals located in San Marcos is where we got half of our rentals. Raphael's is where we got the other half of stuff. I don't remember details, because it was left up to my mom. She did a lot of price shopping though, so you can tell her to check there.
