Our venue has real wooden, sturdy tables so I think I can get away with just a burlap runner w/ lace and no tablecloth. (Outdoor/rustic vibe). I have thought about buying sheets ($1/piece) at a local thrift store and using those as tablecloths… hmm.. (that was my thrifty/creative side).

@shellyislegit:  Too funny.. “Great minds” 🙂  They would probably be WAY softer than the typical wedding tablecloth.  My FI doesn’t even care for tablecloths either so.. we’ll see. I might end up using some of those sheets just for the buffet & drink type tables.

I used sheets, but I don’t have any pics of that. I put table runners on top of it too.  It was just fine!!

@rubyred605:  How did it look? Did any guests comment on them?

ETA: I had a look at our tables again.. Not the prettiest, but it is all wood.. So now I’m debating if I want to cover them.. But again, FI says “No need!” lol

@shellyislegit:  I agree. With everything else on the table, who’s going to notice, and who’s gonna say, ” OMG, they used sheets.” I don’t think my guests would care if I did 🙂
