I was told by several caterers to double the number of each type of glass you want to use. If you are expecting 150 guests, order 300 wine and 300 beer glasses. It seems like a lot but people are going to set their drinks down and forget or not bring their glass back to the bar, etc.

Hi bees!
So our caterer just told us today that they don't care wine or beer glasses and we will need to rent them, but they also didn't have a good estimate for how many we would need. We're expecting to have 150 guests for a 7 hour reception - cocktail hour, plated dinner with full service, then dancing, etc. We're only serving wine and beer - no liqueur. We guess that a lot of people will get their glass at the bar during cocktail hour and take it to the table. If they don't have one it can be brought to them during dinner. This is all speculation of course. I would love to hear from brides who have rented glassware themselves to know how it worked and any estimates on how many of each type of glass would be *greatly* appreciated. Thanks ladies!
