We’ve purchased this ring (http://www.moissaniteco.com/round-or-cushion-moissanite-petite-tiffany-solitaire-ring-p-12741.html) and due to budget reasons, we’ve chosen a 6,5mm normal moissanite.
However, when Amora GEM is allowed to be shipped to the US, I’d really like to change the stone to one of those, maybe even a bigger cut (7mm).
Would that be possible? we live in nyc and were wondering if you know any jewelers that could do this and what they’d charge…?

I can’t help you on pricing but i am planning to do something similar. I currently have a .75 carart diamond centre stone that I plan to “upgrade” in size with the Amora Gem down the road.
Since that setting is just a prong setting, I dont think you’ll have any issues switching it out, especially if only going up .5mm. Worst case scenario they’ll just have to put a different head(prongs) on the ring.

@bellisnelli: I’d email Moissanite Co to ensure that the setting you’ve picked has a head that can accomodate a 6.5-7mm stone. Some settings do and some don’t. The prongs on the ring you’ve chose are very simpe and can probably be switched out for another if the Amora gem is substantially larger than the moissanite you purchase now.

Any idea what to do with the stone I have replaced? Is there a second hand market for unenchanced moissanite?

You could try to sell it on Diamond Bistro (http://diamondbistro.com/index.php?a=5&b=218) or Ebay.
