I think you can have it replated whenever you want, probably every year or two is best depending on how scratched/beat up it is. I would probably just wait to have it done until right before your wedding so it's nice and shiny for pictures and showing off on your big day.
I'm planning to get mine replated every year. My friend gets hers done every 6 months as part of her warranty program. I doubt if it would need to done more often than that though.
You want to do it as little as possible. Each time they replate the rhodium they have to buff off the old rhodium layer and a small layer of the gold to get a smooth surface. If they don't buff it, all the scratches and imperfections will show through the rhodium and probably look worse. My jeweler told me to do it no more than once a year
I had a post similar to this awhile ago. I go every 6 mths and this is per my jeweler. I have a thick band so it scratches quickly so yes more than once a year is neccessarry. I just get it done every 6 mths when I have it inspected. Also, a reputable jeweler makes it mandatory that they buff it prior to plating it.
I'm not sure if I will. I don't care if it wears down a bit to look a bit warmer as long as it doesn't go completely gold.

How often should we do it?
I've had my Ering for 19 months now and my wedding set for almost 6... I never, ever take them off, but have a very active lifestyle, so I end up scratching them a lot (we knew it would happen, which is part of the reason why we didn't spend too much on jewelry)...
So, is 6 months long enough to go and get my wedding set replated?
