I thought once I got engaged, all the “waiting” resentment would disappear. But it hasn’t.
I know he loves me, but the waiting game (it took him almost 2 years after we picked out the ring to propose) killed a part of me inside.
Now, it’s been a year since out engagement, and I haven’t even started planning our wedding. The waiting had me going crazy, wondering if we were really meant to be together. Ugh. Has anyone else felt this way? I just need advice. I don’t know what to do.

It seems to me that you just need to sit down with your fiancé and figure out where his head is at. I’m sure since you’ve been with him for a while that you know that open communication is key to the success in any relationship-so just talk with him. All feelings are valid, so tell him that whether he is doing in intentionally or not how is actions of not wanting to start the process are making you feel and see what he says. Hopefully after you talk you’ll be on the same page. Good luck!

@jtaylor18: I think you need to do some serious soul searching. Are you sure you want to spend the rest of your life with this guy?
