How annoying! worst thing is theres nothing you can do, other than write a bad review. although sometimes if you put a review on trip advisor then they respond to you and ask  to contact you (maybe will offer a discount for next stay).i think i would do this to be honest, list the problems and lack of service. at the end of the day, you paid for something and they messed it up

let me play devils advocate…the flowers may not be the fault fo the resort as they have to rely on an outside vendor. and i suppose many resorts dont offer top brand champagne, they tend to cheap out on it/

the violinist belittling and ignorign your choices is terrible, as is the frozen cake and the restaurant not being ready at all. and i know little details can be so disappointing when youre planning the most important day of your life. Thing is, given they were so chaotic, im not sure what you could have done to change the outcome even if you did micromanage it. if they ignored your requests once im not sure further emails/calls would have helped necessarily.

I often wonder how resorts choose wedding planners, i dont think they necessarily have the expertise/qualifications of non resort venues as things going awry seem fairly common. i hope you didnt tip anyone! (but then im english, i tip for service if its good and not for bad service…whereas i think peopel in the US tip anyway and the size of the tip reflects service)

i nominate – name and shame. save future brides!
