My FI and I are having a hard time deciding which response card wording to pick. We want something somewhat fun and a little different. If you pick #1, which first line do you like the most?

It's crazy how these little details consume your time!

I would probably go with option 1 and use the first wording ... the question really sets it up!

I think I like #1 the best, though maybe there are some alternatives you haven't thought of yet? I like the "ready to celebrate" line better cause what if they can't come? I guess they *could* celebrate from far away, lol!

@KMsull - this is the list we narrowed down from 10 different wordings!

I like #1 and #3.  1 is good but I don't like "date's taken" for some reason - you could say "sorry, can't make it" for the decline answer.

I know what you mean, I never wanted to spend this much time on the little things but you can't help it!  I have tried not to think too much about how to word things, but of course I have. :)

I voted #1 "Ready to celebrate" I like it because for some reason the  "can't" in the second wording sounds slightly negative.  I like the first one because it's all uplifting and positive. weird I know. After taking "mental health" for nursing school I've been paying attention to the  wording of things.

    Can't Wait to Celebrate.

But I really like the check box options from #3. I wanted to play mix and match with your response cards, hehe.

I like the first one and the first wording...it's a most different of all without being out there

I was just wondering how your wording was coming along!

    How about a combo of 1 & 3?

    Ready to celebrate?

I agree with the people who said they don't like 'the date is taken.'  To be honest, we spend too much time on this stuff.  Once people get the resopnse card, what they see is what they get.  So, make a decision and be confident people will love it!  It's good that you asked us, becuse other people...regardless if they are BM or others, really don't want to hear about 'the wedding'.  I'm more in line with eestationery.  This is such a cute idea!

    So my answer would be:

    Ready to Celebrate with us?

    Please respond by xxx.

Thanks for all the advice! I tweaked things around and I think I'm going with this:

we had the accepts with pleasure and declines with regrets and one of my friends added her own checkbox that said accepts with regretful pleasure.  We also received one back with no name of who was attending but just a drawing of a shark fin in water. actually we received several back with no name of who was attending written in, just an accepts with pleasure.  we managed to track everyone down though.
