I think you definitely need to get in touch with him, but like any business he might be busy or perhaps taking a vacation. I would send a follow up email tomorrow and then call friday.
Did your email specifically ask him to respond? If not, he may think you were just giving him an update and all is well and good. If it did, email him just to make sure he got the first one and if there is no response again, give him a call.

My wedding is in just over 5 weeks. I sent an email to our photographer last Wednesday to discuss timeline, final payment, etc. I still haven't heard back from him. In the one time we met him (planning from out of state) he said he prefers email over phone so he can keep track of what we've talked about, etc. He's usually been very responsive with emails. I know he's still around (I Facebook stalked him and he commented on someone's picture on Friday, so if he's on FB, I'm assuming he saw my email).
When do you think I should contact him next?
