@ejmichel: I've been to an event where the Governor and the Lt. Governor were present and, due to the remote location, portable restroom facilities had to be rented. The ones that were there were extremely nice and fairly spacious, offered air conditioning and running water, and had no offensive odor that one would normally associate with a portable-restroom facility. What you're looking for may be availble for rent in your area.
Unfortunately that's one of the downsides to at home weddings. We thought about having one too, but the restroom trailers were way too expensive. They're crucial though, atleast to me, so it was our deal breaker. If I won't use a port-a-potty at a concert I definitely won't use one at a wedding. Can you downgrade another aspect of your wedding to afford the trailers?
I know how you feel. We are also planning a backyard wedding for 200 and the porta potty situation is one I put a lot of research into, so maybe I can help. Around here the standard porta potties are around $100 each, but come in different colors including pink. The nice trailers with electricity, flushing toilets, etc. are around $1000. Since that is so far out of our budget I was going to do something like this:

I was going to buy a tent like shown in the photo-I found them for about $90 on amazon, with the side walls and windows. I was, however, with a lot of phone calls able to get one of the nice trailers for $500. If you can't find one of the nice trailers, I think the tent with the porta potties are just fine! I live in the country and a lot of people have outdoor weddings with port a potties, so nobody would have cared or been surprised to find them at our wedding.
@ejmichel: Where are you having your wedding? I know a few portable toilet rental companies and can help get you a good quote!

We are trying to plan a backyard/barn wedding at my parents' house for about 200 people. One of the biggest problems we're having (and one that no one seems to mention on wedding planning boards) is that there is not enough bathroom space for all those people...So we will need to bring in restrooms, but we dont want ugly porta potties. There are portable restroom trailers out there, but they seem really expensive! Does anyone have any suggestions about how to handle the bathroom situation or has anyone else had a similar situation with their reception? Help, please!
