So our original plan was to have just a first dance and have some background (non-dancing) music in the background. But today I got this thought: I really wanted some sweet pictures of like FI dancing with my sister or my brothers dancing with my Mom/Nanny.
Is it way too late? Btw, I’m not thinking like DJ I’m thinking like, iPod. Our venue doesn’t care.
-We only have like 2 hours for the reception (not a sit-down dinner)

You could do some really short songs, or have your DJ fade them out after about 60 seconds, then they wouldn’t take much time?

@red_rose: We don’t have a DJ, so it’ll be all iPod/CD. I’m not sure how to incorporate dancing into it so late in the game. :/ I don’t want to just do it for the pictures, that would be awkward for guests I think.

You can totally do that kind of stuff while people are eating what ever they are eating.

It doesn’t have to be formal dances like the first dance, just add a few dance songs into the mix and ask family members to get up and dance. Make sure you tell your photog that you really want him to capture certain photos during dancing.
Relax and enjoy your wedding! I’m sure it will be great
