    Okay!

I am thinking I want to get an embossing plate with our address on it for our invites instead of printing a label for the back flap.  My question is:  Whose name do I put on it.  FI and I live together....but I am handling invites.  Should I put both our names, or should I just use mine?

My latest idea was to just put his last name, so that we could use it after the wedding (won't have my maiden name anywhere on it).

    Thoughts?

I am all for practicality so I would put his last name so you can use it later!

Great idea to just have his last name!  It makes so much more sense to be able to use it again in the future.

I went with both our first names. I didn't want to be presumptuous Embarassed on using his last name especially when we sent out Save The Dates!

I got mine from Horchow and they work great and great quality! Wait for 30% sales and you can get it for under $30!

I would use the last name as well! I used an embossing plate as well, however I used my mom's return address. I did this just because both my fiance and I are only going to live at our current addresses for another 3 months, and I figured I could either give my mom the embossing plate with her address on it as a gift later or just get a new plate to put in it if she did  not want it.

And, for your peace of mind, I did about 100 invites with the hand embosser in less than 30 minutes. You will be so grateful that you used the embosser rather than paying a calligrapher to do the return address or having to use a messy stamp!

Also, you can always update the plate--just make sure you use the same company that you bought it from. I don't think it costs very much!:)

    Good luck!

We're going to get an embosser too, but we're just going to do the two-line address without either of our names. That way we can continue using it regardless of what we decide to do with our names!
