we’re having the return address printed on the back on our envelopes and i’m not sure who’s name we’re supposed to put. we plan on moving at some point this year, so i don’t want people to save/use this address we’re at now and when we move the post office has to forward more things to us. we’re doing online RSVP, so i doubt much will be sent to the return address on the invitations anyway.
do we put our names with my parents address or my parent’s names with their address?

If you are concerned about the move, then i think putting your parents address on the envelope is a good idea.
As for the name…My Fiance and I are paying for the wedding. I put the dog’s name on the return…

@MrsE.ToBe : For the return address on the invite envelope, our stationery company doesn’t put names, just the address. Why not do the same? Then you don’t have to worry about whether to put your names or your parents!

When you mail out your invitations later this year (I’m assuming after you move) people will notice (hopefully) that the address has changed. They’ll update their files with that one. I really wouldn’t worry about people sending you stuff. If you keep them up to date with your address on the different things you mail out, it will be fine.
The return address is for the post office to return the letter if it’s undeliverable. So you’ll want to use whatever is current.
