Awhiles ago I bought a stamp like this http://www.etsy.com/listing/92380555/elegant-self-inking-return-address-stamp?ref=cat_gallery_30 for the return address on my save the dates. My stamp has a bit more design on it but I couldn’t find the same one on etsy. Well I am going to use it for the return address ongym invites but I also wanted to use it as the main address on my response card envelopes. I wasunsure if I was able to since it has a design and is not in the normal format. I took it to 2 different post offices and they bothtold me that it should be fine. However I am so nervous about sending these out. I am sending out 100 invites and what if I don’t get any back because of the wrong formatting on the stamp. Can you guys please put my mind at ease and tell me that it will be fine.

I’m sure it is fine. It looks like the style a lot of people get done with calligraphy but much easier to read. If my horrible handwriting can get mail where it needs to go I’m sure this stamp will not be an issue.

I think it’s beautiful! And such a great idea. We are using an embosser for the invites, but obviously that won’t work for reply cards. I might have to steal your idea…!

I’m not sure how this could be consider as “not the normal format”. It looks perfectly normal to me. I’ve gotten mail with stamps used for the address several times before. It will be fine.

I found the link to my actual stamp. It has a bit more flourish design than the other one.
I am just worried that someone down the line(in the post office world) will have a hard time reading it and decide that it can’t be mailed.
However, like I said, I did use it for the return address on my save the dates. I did have one come back to me because I had the wrong address, so I guess they were able to read the stamp, since it did make it’s way back.

This stamp is perfectly fine. It looks just like what I have printed on my business envelopes and I have never had a problem.

I can’t wait to move in a few weeks so I can finally get a stamp like that to use for our invites!! But I have seen ones that use stamps like that, and it was fine
