If you are paying for your wedding as a couple, I’m fairly certain that the return address (and the RSVP) are addressed with the bride’s info, solely.

I definitely think it would be tacky to send wedding invitations with your name already representing your married name – as you’re not married, yet.  So the above example would be fab for the Thank You cards, but not appropriate for the Invitations.

I planned on taking his last name also, so we ordered a bunch of return address labels that just had his last name on it.  I felt weird having my first name with his last name on it, because technically I didn’t have that last name yet.  I also didn’t want to order a bunch with my maiden name, because I knew I would have a lot left over and not want to use them once my name was changed.

Oh, and a shout out to Fort Wayne…my hometown 🙂

Its considered bad form (and bad luck!) to use you new name before marriage.  Finda design that only uses first names then you don’t have to worry about what last name to use.

I guess I should have mentioned what we did, to get around this.  We ordered labels with our address only printed on them, no names.  That way they can be used regardless (even our roommate can use them!) after the wedding.

For our return address stamp, I just used our first names.

We got a tamp made with just our first names and our current address (live together)
