My fiance works out frequently and needed a durable band. His band from his first marriage was gold and took quite a beating. He also wanted some weight to his ring. So we decided on tungsten. We looked at a few jewerly stores and he found some styles he liked.
We are on a budget and I thought the price was great compared to that of gold or platinum. But then I stumbled upon the $20-30 tungsten bands on amazon and was blown away. I thought certainly something was wrong with them, maybe they weren’t real tungsten…I don’t know something. However after reading several reviews of different vendors on amazon I was convinced that they were the real deal and if not it was only $20 lost.
I ordered a 8mm tungsten carbonide matte finish comfort fit band from Metal Factory on ebay. I had it shipped right to my FI and he said he liked it. He was pleased with the weight, finish and fit of the ring. I did order down a half size at the advisement of Metal Factory. I had messaged them to see if their rings were true to size and they replied that since the rings are comfort fit I should order a half size smaller, so I did. It is a bit tight but he feels that a half size bigger would be too big. I have no seen the ring and I like it as well, it looks just like the rings in the stores. Below is the pic he sent.
I just wanted to encourage anyone who was buying tungste (or stainless steel or titatinum for that matter) that it is ok to order from Amazon. The rings (or at least his) was jewelry store quality.
