I just tried Revlon’s photo ready foundation and powder…L-O-V-E IT!! I have an oily face due to hormones and usually everything just slides off my face within in 20 mins of putting it on.
I had a friends wedding over the weekend and thought I would give it a whirl. It lasted all night! From eating, dancing and drinking. By the time I rolled into bed 8 hours after putting it on..it looked like I just did my makeup.
I thought the foundation was light and smoothed in easily to the skin. The powder was very light as well. I did substitute my own powder pad instead of the brush that comes with the compact.
If you have oily skin, I would try this out. It was toally worth the money.

thanks! been looking for something!

I wonder if it would work as well for dry skin? I’m looking for something as well. Do you have easily blemished skin as well?

I love this stuff! I really does stay on forever, in fact, if not for makeup removing wipes, I might never get it off! It matches skin wonderfully and blends like a champ.
For what it’s worth, I wear Vanilla.

I wear this foundation/powder as well, and love it. I have oily/combo skin as well. Bought it on the rec of someone on here – so thanks to whoever it was!! 🙂

I heard good things about Revlon’s photo ready and colorstay from several sources now, and will definitely try them both!

Oops, meant to add to my earlier post, I bought some “HD” (like, high definition) foundation from Sephora (can’t remember exact brand, but it has HD in the name and its about $35 a bottle), and for me, Revlon is MUCH better – stays longer, doesn’t make my skin more oily, etc. Being 1/3 of the price doesn’t hurt, either.

I thought about using this for my wedding but read lots of reviews that said it flashes way too shimmery. Too much sparkle. Somebody said it made her look like Edward Cullen.

I might have to go try it. I am getting my makeup done for the actual wedding, but I will need some good stuff for the rehearsal and other wedding events. It also would be nice to have some extra to keep in my purse for touch ups!

I used this for our engagement photos and I loved it. I don’t usually wear any makeup, much less foundation, but it was really easy to apply. I think it made my skin look great in the pictures too. For the wedding, my makeup artist will use HD make-up but I’ll still have to do my makeup for the rehearsal dinner so I’ll probably use the Revlon again.

@gabrielleelise, I went into sephora asking for some foundation that would work with my dry-blemish skin, and they used the HD stuff and I didn’t like it at all. It was like a coating on my skin, but it didn’t do anything for my breakouts or the redness near my nose.

@MsSassy: Thanks for sharing! I’m like you—I have oily skin and have trouble keeping makeup on. If you don’t mind me asking, how much did it cost?

I got mine at Wal-Mart–I think I paid like $11 for each (foundation & powder) and then I had a $2 off coupon. Totally worth it!

I think I am going to try it 🙂
