I have never had that moment of truly falling in love with a garment until I tried on the Rhianna Royale yesterday!  I thought there were other dresses that I 'loved' but not until I slipped this dress over my head, then I got to experience the "this is the one" moment, truly, for the first time (and I am encore bride!).  Here is my question....I am a street size 2 to 4.  The gown I tried on was an 8 and cinched up really easy.  I am going back with my mother to try it on and put down a deposit.  Should I consider a size 6?  The sales woman didn't actually take my measurements yet, maybe this is when we would decide if I should drop to a size 6?  I am concerned because I haven't been working out like I normally do (I always take the summers off from the gym), so once I get back in the gym I will probably drop a few pounds but not many.  My next question is regarding the bustle.  I had planned on a very simple dress as our wedding will be an outdoor, but now I am in love and well I think I'd wear this gown to hamburger and hotdog cookout ;)  So now I have to consider the bustle....any suggestions with this particular gown?  Its pretty ornate with a 'garden' feel of its own so there is a lot of detail to consider.  One lesson I have learned from all of this is to be open when shopping for a dress.  I went into several salons with my file full of photos of the dresses that I thought I'd like until this one sales specialist asked me to trust her and try on this gown.  It was the best surprise since I got my ring!

Here is the link to the dress.  I am getting it in the light gold/ champagne color:  http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=S5094HP

Your dress is to die for gorgeous.  Not sure about the sizes as my maggie dress is one dress size larger than my normal.  Perhaps having her measure you would be key.

i went to a wedding where the bride wore this dress!  and she had it in the light gold color, too!  it is so gorgeous and the look is so versatile - can fit a garden setting or a more formal setting, too.  the back has a corset so it will allow you some versatility with the fit just in case.  congrats on finding your dress!

I just tried this dress in gold yesterday and I agree with you, it's so beautiful!  This dress definitely look the best in gold, rather than white.  It's so romantic and feminine.  I know someone who wore this dress and had picture of it bustled up.  I'll have to look for it and if I find it I'll post it here!

i think a size 6 is good, too. you want your corset to have some room.

I wear a size 8 and bought a size 10 dress, but only because i have really big boobs (like a size 16 dress size basically). I think an 8 is too big for you.

I am a street size 2 and a maggie bride too!!  The great thing about dresses with corsets is you can go up a size or go down a size.  So all depends on are you closer to a 2 or a 4, if you are closer to 4 then get a 6, and vice versa.
