How often do you rhodium plate your rings and does the discoloration bother you?
I wonder if others are as sensitive to the yellowing of their white gold rings as I am.
It bothers me so much that I’m slowly upgrading all my rings to platinum (or maybe palladium).

I got my ring in June and I just took it to get dipped last week. I’m so OCD about my ring so any discoloration drives me crazy! I would have had it dipped earlier than that but timing didn’t work out..

@lilsweetie: I have a white gold RH ring. I keep meaning to take it in to be re-dipped… it’s been over two years and it’s looking a little worn.
How much does re-dipping cost out of curiosity?

@canarydiamond: my jeweler’s lifetime warranty included unlimited redipping. I don’t think it’s all that much, though.
I just got my e-ring on 1-12-13 and I am getting married 11-12-13, so I plan on redipping before the wedding so it will be nice and shiny in the pictures.

I’ve had my e-ring for about 20months and I have noticed a bit of yellowing on the bottom of the ring(the top is all diamonds so you wouldnt be able to tell anyways). I do plan to have it re-dipped before the wedding so that it matches my wedding band but the slight color change doesnt really bother me. I’ll probably only have it dipped every 2-3 years.
