I too fell in love with Maria Elena headbands but I really dislike the price. But they are amazing!!
I am currently creating my own Maria Elena inspired headband for my October wedding.
I was at the bridal store for my dress fitting, and asked to see the Maria Elena's headband (again). I must say, what makes these so beautiful is the quality for the crystal rhinestones. The shine is just amazing.
I use only Swarovski Crystals. I live in LA and know of a wonderful place where I can get these crystals right away. If Swarovski’s are too pricey, I could also go with another brand with a more desirable price tag.
I currently own numerous filigree pieces (the metal detail which is adorned with crystal rhinestones) and will give you various options to choice from.
I will work with each step the way to make sure I am creating a piece you will be happy to wear on your very special day.

I've been looking around for ribbon headpieces which are similar to Maria Elena's but haven't found much. Her pieces are really expensive! Instead of a statement necklace, I'm going for a statement headpiece!
I've look on etsy and found a few but still looking. Any advice on where else to look? I've even looked for used ones but nothing came up either!
