Sorry I don't have a picture, but when I was trying on my dress (again) the other day, I noticed a couple ribbons sewn on the inside down by the skirt.  They looked like the hanger ribbons.

I meant to investigate but didn't (forgot)... now I just remembered.  The dress was pre-owned but still had tags, never worn.  What do you these could be?  Something for hanging the train / attaching it to the hanger, maybe?

I'm just puzzled and never noticed them before now.

Probably the ribbons for the bustle. I have a french bustle and I have color coded ribbons under my skirt.

I would say a way to secure the train up when transporting on a hanger or bustle ribbons.

I don't think they are bustle ribbons because the seller said it was never altered.  If they were bustle ribbons, what would be the other "part".. in other words what would they attach to?  So I can look for it... Because yeah, if it's already had that done then I'd be crazy  happy, for the savings. ;) BUt I am more inclined to think it has to do with hanging up the train...

My dress had only one ribbon loop on the bottom to hang up the train and it was a thicker ribbon.  If they are small thin ribbons, I would check the underside near the top to see if there are any loops up there as part of a bustle.

this is what my daughter had for her bustle. look to see how many there are and if they match up.  she had six places that tied together, but her train had lots of separate pieces!

They sound like bustling ties to me.  Hanging ties are looped and bustle ties are not.
