I don't know if it is a brand name or specific type, but my friends who are Hawaiian RAVE about the Tiger rice cooker. I'm not sure where you can get it or anything though. I know it definitely keeps the rice warm without drying it; they would make a big pot and eat it with every meal for a couple days.
We like our Oster quite a bit. It was cheap, and we had expected to replace it in a year, but that sucker has lasted almost 4 years (and counting.) The only time it dries out is if I cook a really small portion. As long as I'm cooking for 2 or more servings, it's perfect. I think we got ours at Target. Good luck!
Zojirushi! It's the best rice cooker available IMO and I've gone through quite a few. I have this model and have never made a bad pot of rice since. Also warming mode doesn't dry out the rice at all. ![]()
There's also a 10 cup model but the smaller one is just enough for me and my FI.

Soo not related to weddings, but does anyone out there really like their electric rice cooker? Mine is dying and it really wasn't that great to begin with. I'd like the type that you could keep it warming without it drying out on the bottom
