I had a right hand ring before I got engaged. Did/does anyone else have one?
For those that are married/engaged - do you still wear your right hand ring?
Show me yours! Here is mine:

I no longer wear mine, but was thinking of passing along to my sister.
I just have a Claddagh ring that I wear on my right ring finger. I plan on wearing it even after I get engaged/married. I think that's very sweet of you to want to give the ring to your sister! It's a beautiful ring
my fi got me one that looks similar to this many many years ago. i was really into hearts.. not so much anymore lol but i still get compliments on it

@PrettyRoyalT: That is beautiful! That would be a wonderful thing to pass to your sister.
I have a RHR, and I love it, but I don't wear it as much as I should because I only usually wear my ering. Maybe after a few years when I'm used to the ering always being there I'll start wearing rings on my other hand.
My FI gave me this ring on our first year anniversary. I've always worn it on my right hand and I plan to continue to even after we're married! :)
I have one that my husband bought me after we got married. I wear it on dinner dates, events, things of that nature. Its to big for everyday wear. I use to even sleep in it but it spun around so much I was affraid it would fall off.

@PrettyRoyalT: Your RHR is gorgeous! What makes you want to pass it down?
@Mrs.Estep: I got the RHR as my "help me wait for Mr. Right to come along" ring. I used to get very jealous of others with pretty e-rings. So vain, I know. But the RHR helped me look for the right person instead of the right ring! My sister is single and I know she feels like everyone around her is getting married, so maybe it would be a good way to help her as the RHR did for me.
my current RHR is my wedding band from when i married DH1. FI is more than ok with it. in fact, he thinks i should get a really nice aquamarine ring (my son's birthstone...DH1 is his father) to wear with it. i've decided i want an asscher cut aquamarine. now i just have to find one, lol.
I had one and I miss it so much. I work in a deli and one night a couple of years ago, I lost it. My guess is that it came off in a glove when I tossed it in the garbage. It was a one of a kind and I reaaaaaallly wish I could replace it
@PrettyRoyalT: may I ask where you purchased your ring? It's so pretty!!
@DeathByDesign: how sweet!
how did he give it to you w/o making it seem like a proposal? I would have seen the ring and gotten all excited (and nervious if it was only the 1-year anniversary, LOL).
DF gave me one like this for our 1st anniversary, except mine is a little wider. I usually wear it on my right hand. Ironically, I get way more compliments on it than my ering!
After the wedding, I'll probably wear it on my left hand in place of my wedding set like when we travel or if I don't want to wear anything too valuable.
I've been wearing one of my late great-aunt's rings on my right middle finger the last month or so. I never, ever wore rings before getting engaged, but now that I'm used to having jewelry on one finger, I thought, "Why not?"
The center stone is an amethyst, and the one son the band are hematite. She had a lot of beautiful old rings, but most were too big for my fingers.
My RHR is my college class ring, it's really delicate and cute for a class ring. I have an old RHR from a jerk ex that I am considering selling for the gold, and taking the cute little 1/8 ct. diamond out of it. :D
I wouldn't pass it along to a sister. If it's something your SO gave you as a proof of your love I think I would keep it, I might not wear it but I would try to someday pass it to my daughter or something.
i was thinking of moving my engagement ring to my right hand once we are married, i don't particually like wearing jewellrey but i don't want to hurt oh feelings i'm quite used to wearing it now so probably wont both me as much.... i couldn't wear two rings on the same finger it would irrate me... plus i have arthritus in my hands amongst other places so even the one ring poses a problem, when my hands swell, and i know if i take it off i will loose it, which i have already on numerous occasions, then spend all day trying to remember where i took it off, usually by the kitchen sink though
My husband bought me my right hand ring for my birthday last year. He when he gave it to me, he had to add the disclaimer that it wasn't an engagement ring but a promise ring so I wouldn't freak out with excitement only to be let down that he wasn't asking. I loved it, and was really happy (though I was a little bummed it wasn't an engagement ring because we'd been talking about getting married and to me it would have worked prefectly fine as one!). Turns out, he is sneaky. He bought the first ring so that he could figure out my actual ring size and have the real engagement ring sized before he asked me only a month later!! I was certainly not expecting it!!! I still tease him that he could have asked me with this one. He says "I know. That just made it more fun when I got to pick out something really cool for you...because you didn't expect it or need it to be happy!"

My ring is the promise ring that my fiance gave me years ago. I love it still so I'm going to keep wearing it. It's not the best picture but it's the only one I have, the yellow diamonds look kind of green in this pic.

@PrettyRoyalT: Totally saw someone IRL with this ring today. May I ask where it is from? It was stunning in person. I remembered it from this thread!
I got my right hand ring while on our honeymoon..and I love that. My husband knew I had been wanting a right hand ring and when we were in the jewelry store at our resort, this was the only ring I liked there. Then my husband was like "I think that's actually my birthstone" so we were sold (after looking it up to double check that it was for sure his birthstone). We've been together since freshman year of highschool and neither of us knew his birthstone...just goes to show how much guys know about that stuff! But anyway, yes I wear it, I just got it 3 months ago :)

I don't have a picture, but I wear a ring FI gave to me. It was the first ring he ever gave me. It has our birthstones and our anniversary stone. :)
This is my RHR...it's actually been restored since this picture was taken but I haven't taken a picture of it since then. It was my great-grandma's wedding ring and I love it! :D I've been wearing it since before we were engaged and I don't plan on taking it off any time soon :)
@rachgirl82: I actually got it from overstock.com like 2 years ago and it is still on there! http://www.overstock.com/Jewelry-Watches/14k-White-Gold-1-6ct-TDW-Diamond-Lightweight-Ring-I-J-I2-I3/2116823/product.html
@soyjoy222: Not surprized you saw it IRL! I got it from overstock.com about 2 years ago and it is still sold on there! http://www.overstock.com/Jewelry-Watches/14k-White-Gold-1-6ct-TDW-Diamond-Lightweight-Ring-I-J-I2-I3/2116823/product.html
@Coffee cup: I bought it for myself about 2 years ago. Since I don't wear it anymore I would hate for it to sit around. But on the other hand, my sister isn't the most responsible person and my lose it.
@MASPA: Thanks! They're actually nail polish strips. Took about 15 minutes to put on. Can find them at Walmart or some drug stores: http://www.sallyhansen.com/products/nails/nail-color/salon-effects-real-nail-polish-strips
I have 2 right hand rings. One is a promise ring FI gave me when we were juniors in high school and the other is a ring I had designed and used the stones from the wedding set my mom had from her marriage to my dad. I wear them about 50% of the time, just depending on what I have going on that day.
ETA: I don't wear them at the same time...they're too much to wear together lol
I have a bunch that I rotate. Mostly family jewelery.
I'm currently wearing the emerald on the ring finger of my right hand, and the pearl on the midle finger of my left hand. I found the pearl ring near the sink this morning on my way out and put it on so I wouldn't lose it.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.
I have a few right hand rings. One is my white sapphire ring I've posted a few times. I bought it for myself when I started my career in teaching.
My other ring is my something blue, a blue topaz hand white zircon halo ring. I sometimes worry if my something blue is too large hee hee.
i decided to spoil myself and buy my own diamond ring which i wear on my right middle finger. I'm in a relationship and my boyfriend is popping the question soon but i will continue to wear it!
My RHR is a beautiful Claddagh that the SO got me for our first anniversary. He ordered it from Ireland and got it engraved to say "Love Loyalty Friendship." I will wear this ring forever, its so precious to me.
Also, DAYUM, these rings are GORGEOUS.
I have worn rings on both hands for as long as I've worn jewelry! I feel weird just wearing a ring or rings on just one hand, like I'm lopsided LOL. Before I was engaged (the first time), my late husband bought me a beautiful sapphire ring for our first Christmas. I wore that on my left hand, and random rings on my right, including a beautiful white gold ring my sister gave me for being her MOH when I was 17. When we got engaged, the sapphire moved to my right and my engagement ring took my left.
After my husband passed away, I had my E ring turned into a non e ring so I could wear it everyday on my left hand and not feel weird when I started dating about wearing an obvious wedding ring. I then wore a 3 stone diamond ring I purchased after he died on my right hand sometimes, but changed it up routinely. Since becoming engaged this time, I wear the remade 'widow' ring on my right, and my 3 stone on my left daily, except if I'm worried about damaging either ring and then I will wear a stunt double or plain silver (no stone) ring. I have too much jewelry LOL.
