Personally, if I could afford a 3ct center stone, I wouldn’t put it in a halo. Let the focus be all on that gorgeous rock!

I have an oval but it is not 3 cts.   However, because of the oval shape, it looks larger than it really is.  A 3 ct center stone with a halo will DEFINITELY be big, bold, and beautiful.  Please post pictures of your upgrade when you get it!

@kimmo416:  +1 Why halo such a large center stone? I think the setting would get in the way of ordinary life and you’d be knocking your rock on many things.

@court_lovez_you:  I just took this picture without my wedding band.  My finger size is 7.5 and the center diamond is 1.45 cts.  Once I put my channel set wedding band on with it, it is perfect for my lifestyle and hand.  I love ovals!  Laughing

@court_lovez_you:  My friend has a 2 ct round, my oval, lengthwise, measures almost the same as hers.  Because of that, when you put mine next to hers, hers doesn’t look that much bigger.  Optical illusion.

@court_lovez_you:  Thank you!  Please post pictures when you upgrade.  Especially, if you do upgrade to a 3 ct oval.  I would love to see it.

@court_lovez_you:  my oval isn’t 3ct or a halo but if i had a 3ct, i would probably like it to stand alone.

my oval is 2ct plus 2ctw side stones.  my finger is a 5.25.

i would love to see your ascher.  maybe we bees can help find an appropriate wedding band that will compliment your ering.
