My ring was too big when I got it too. I had a jeweler put in a small metal sizing band. It was $5. After about a month, once I’d shown everyone and the excitement had died down a tad, I sent it to be resized so it would fit forever.

You can get a set of plastic ones at Claire’s that work pretty well for a temporary fix. I also once used hot glue to resize a ring and it worked okay.

It was these but fancier/more durable since it was from a real jewelry store

I used one of the ring guards (as @Glasgowbound: shows) on my ring for over a year, and then just last month I finally found the time to get it sized properly.

@KatyYoung:  I used one of those for a day and   it   Scratched my ring. I was devastated. Google “ring snuggies” they’re flexible plastic and won’t scratch your ring. I have swelling fingers and big knuckles so I’ve been   using ring snuggies for months and its a great solution.
