I need all you lovely ladies to help me out with this!
A few days ago I got a call from my cousin’s wife (we chat sometimes) and she completely dropped a bomb on me…they are moving to Austrailia. This is very unexpected and as happy as I am for them, I’m also a little p*ssed too but for many reasons I’m not going to get in to right now. Anyways their little 2 year old boy was going to be our Ring Bearer but now since they’re leaving in a month, I won’t have one. So today Fiance came up with a brilliant plan of making our Flower Girl’s (who’s 5) big brother (who’s 14) our “Ring Bearer” and walk her down the isle…this won’t only be cute but will probably make her more at ease. He’ll hold our rings for us and stand with the guys while our flower girl will stand with us ladies.
Problem is I was really looking forward to having a Ring Bearer carry our rings on a small pillow but since he’s going to be 14, this won’t look right at all LOL I also don’t want them kept in his pocket for the sake of loosing them and it’s not really Ring Bearer-ish (if that makes sence)
So does anyone have any ideas on what we can do? I’m absolutly stumped!!

Maybe can you tie the rings to the flower girl’s basket (if she’s having one)? I

We aren’t having a ring bearer either, but I wanted to include my grandson, who it 10. I made a little ring box, and we are calling him a Jr. Groomsmand, instead of a ring bearer. Here is a link to the little box that I made.

Hmmmm… we aren’t doing a pillow.
Rather my grandmother gave me a small bible that she used as part of her bouquet when she got married (50 years ago)
what we’re going to do it use the “fabric bookmark” to tie the rings and let my son carry the rings on it
Just something to get the “what to carry on” thoughts rolling 😉

I like Noritake22’s idea: a ring box will look really pretty and it won’t be awkward for the boy to take down the aisle. Also, If you can find a small chest, especially a wooden/antique-looking one, I think it will also be a great holder for your rings.

Our ring bearer is 6, but I didn’t really want a pillow, so we’re having him carry the rings in this
It also has our initials (i.e. A+B) and our wedding date engraved on the inside lid.
