Hi Bees! I need some help. I have 2 ring bearers, ages 5 and 6 at the time of the wedding. I’ve been trying to come up with what to get them for a gift for being in our wedding. Their sisters are my flower girls and I’ll be giving each of them a silver locket. That was an easy decision. The problem is that there aren’t any gifts like that for boys. What should I get them? I need IDEAS!

I need ideas too! We still don’t have anything for our little guy either. He’s also 6.

Ditto! Need ideas. He is only 3.5 though and has EVERYTHING already.

Still nothing eh?
Why is it that buying meaningful/special gifts for boys is so hard?!

I think my sister-in-law just got her ring bearer and flower girl toys. If you don’t know what they like, maybe get them each a gift card to a toy store?
Edit: I know that’s not really special/meaningful, but I don’t think 5-year-old boys are too concerned with that lol.

Our RB is my 6 year old cousin and we’re planning on getting him a “Bling Security” t-shirt that he can wear the morning of and gift card to Toys R Us. The kid has everything he could possibly want or need and my family ins’t big on personalized sentimental junk so we figured a gift card for $50 would more than suffice. I think the shirts pretty cute, too!

@UpstateCait: Ha! I love that shirt! I may have to get that for them. Too funny!
I guess you’re right. No need to get anything sentimental for a 5 or 6 year old boy. I’m just having so much trouble because I’m getting their sisters the lockets, which are totally awesome and perfect and really special. I wanted to get something equally awesome for the boys.
I’m still hoping that someone out ther will have a genius idea…

Keep in mind, our 9 year old ring bearer was my FI’s son. But he rec’d a gift bag filled with various items that I picked up at Michael’s arts & crafts, Costco, walgreens, amazon & a little-known website spoonsisters.com where i got a bunch of other wedding party gifts.
a coloring book & box of crayons
a small wooden bi-plane model to put together (he LOVES biplanes)
a small car/racing thing ($1 bin at Michael’s)
a foam-pellet-shooting gun
A badge that says “ring bearer”
A set of gigantic water guns from costco
Nothing really ring-bearer-centered, as we weren’t sure exactly what to get. However, he didn’t have the traditional tuxedo & such. Heres a pic of what we put him in. (TMC is both my Fi initials and mine after I took his last name)

I purchased an aluminum water bottle from The Knot for our 2 y/o ring bearer, with his name on it. I got it on sale, so it was not as expensive as indicated! It came out absolutely adorable and was larger than I anticipated, as well. I think he’ll love it.

I have two ringbearers ages 2 & 4. I also thought they wouldn’t appreciate the engraved/sentimental type gifts and went the toy route. They are each getting toy tractors, a book, and a Thomas the Train dvd ($5 at Target!). Also throwing in some playdough for all the little ones. I thought they would like something they could play with right away, especially since we are having an out of town wedding.
