He can still carry a pillow even though he may not hold it right… I have 3 flower girls, ages at time of wedding 5, almost 3, and 21 months… I have a big feeling the 2 youngest ones won’t make it down the aisle perfectly, but that’s perfectly fine with me! These little ones we choose to be a part of our wedding party are there because they are so special to us. Most people won’t care if he’s not holding the pillow the right way! Do as you wish though!

If you don’t think he’ll carry a pillow, I’m not sure he would carry any of your alternate ideas either (unless it was a favorite toy of his).  We have a 3 year old flower girl and I’m keeping an open mind… I dont even expect her to walk down the aisle on her own.  I’m prepared that her dad (my brother) will have to carry her down the aisle.  Not even sure if her bouquet will last longer than a minute or two after I give it to her. lol You can’t expect much from 3 year olds.  Getting them down the aisle is sometimes a challenge in itself.

very nice!  I was going to suggest getting an inexpensive pillow from a yardsale, dollar store, or even Goodwill and decorating it for him.

if you’re not totally set on a pillow and being traditional, maybe you could get a teddy bear dressed up in a groom’s outfit?  or something similiar?  (i know you can have them made at build-a-bear, lol).  You could have the “rings” tied around the bear’s neck and he could keep the toy as his gift.

just another idea in case you’re not totally sold on the pillow….

the pillow would work fine.  I’ve seen them myself and they’re really pretty.  and I LOVE the idea of giving them the toys as favors with their gifts around them!

here’s a few other places I found from a quick google:

http://www.bears-n-friends.com/weddingbears.html

http://www.lighterside.com/product/singing+bride+and+groom+bear+set.do?code=RLS00000  <– they also sing! lol

amazon has several bride and groom bears, just search for it!

at build a bear, you can pick out the bears (or bunnies, or whatever, lol) and the outfits that would best suit your pair.  they have a variety of bears and bunnies and others that you can dress up.  we go to our local build a bear every year with our kids and last year, my FI and I got koala’s then bought the outfits off the website.

@PrncssDva: most welcome!  glad I can help!  probably doesn’t hurt that I have lots of younglings under age 10 that I have to shop for! lol!

I’m sure your ring bearer and flower girl will adore their gifts!!!
