FutureMrsKelly2014:  you could get a ring guard for the time being. It makes a ring the right fit. Do you have diamonds all the way down the band? Do you have a picture?

heres a link to a ring guard : https://www.etsy.com/listing/184812584/white-gold-filled-womens-ring-guard?utm_source=google&utm_medium=product_listing_promoted&utm_campaign=jewelry-ring-low&gclid=CjwKEAjw1ZWgBRD-n6ew0oan1xwSJABAbf8p7Pmi282i0jNoZFRYbLdUD58iZJxRqGLnvdqEbFypjBoC1lTw_wcB

What kind of customization did you have done that doesn’t allow for resizing?

I would look into having another jeweler resize them for you. It might void your warantee, but if you add a rider to your homeowners or rental policy, your rings would be covered for any future damage or loss anyway.

We had my ring customized by choosing a larger center diamond. I’ve had my ring almost five years and have not had to have any maintenance done to it because of damage. When I worked for a jewelry store, I always recommended getting the service agreement, but honestly, if resizing is not covered because of customization, I doubt that you are getting any real value from the service agreement that your insurance policy couldn’t cover.

FutureMrsKelly2014:  I know a lady who had a ring her size built into her engagement ring so that she puts the inside ring on, and it’s somehow soldered onto the engagement ring, and the engagement ring stays on. If that makes any sense?

MrsMY:  that’s a great idea. That’s what my sister in law did to hers.

FutureMrsKelly2014:  you might want to consider that. Basically, it’s a plain band soldered inside your ring. It isn’t noticable (only when you take it off) and if you ever need to size up again (considering what a pain sizing down has been) all they have to do it unsolder it.
