Oh man - just got my engagement ring cleaned/resized/re plated in palladium. It's GOREGOUS. Can't stop staring, or saying 'wow, was it really that sparkly and I just forgot?'

Now my ring is ready for the big day - it's just me that has about 3 weeks left to figure everything out. Eek!

Any other August brides getting their rings shined up? Excited yet?!!!

Hahahah yup! I just had mine replated earlier this week (except rhodium) and definitely thought it looked better than when I first got it!

I'm not getting married until October, but I am super tempted to get mine cleaned now.  I have nearly two years worth of grime on it...gross, I know.

I would wait as long as possible so your e-ring will look new next to your new wedding band.

I agree about getting it cleaned right before the wedding but it wouldn't hurt to have it cleaned every few months as well, a lot of jewelers offer free cleanings for jewelry bought there.

My problem is that my ring came from Costco, so there is no "jeweler" to take it to for a cleaning.  I feel weird taking it to a regular jewelry store since we didn't buy it from there.  I recently found a jewelry repair place nearby, so hopefully they will clean it.

My engagement ring is getting soddered to my wedding ring before the wedding and the jeweler said they'd give it a good cleaning. I love how sparkly my ring is right after it's cleaned :)
