What is the ring supposed to be like? As in, what's the design element they keep screwing up on? Intricate detail, halo, filligree, prongs, etc?
That's so frustrating. Hope they get it right this time.
Happy anniversary, though! :)
yes, like Melanie422 said, what is it that they are not getting right? I'm so sorry, that sounds really frustrating. definitely don't back down-- you expected your ring to look exactly like the sample, and they should deliver on that. it would be unacceptable for them not to!

I have a story to share about my e-ring drama. I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary with my wonderful DH. When we got engaged, DH gave me a beautiful diamond set in a simple 6 prong solitaire with the intention that I would eventually choose my dream setting and upgrade one day.
Well about two months after we got engaged (Dec 2008), I stumbled across my dream setting. I made myself wait until now to make sure I was 100% certain this is the one I wanted, but I finally took the plunge. I put down my deposit, placed the order and waited for about 6 weeks. Finally, the ring arrived and it was... wrong. Don't get me wrong, it was a beautiful ring, but it was very different from the sample in the store. After some soul searching, I decided to go back and voice my concerns. Long story short, the store owner agreed to have it remade (after a long battle). So again I wait for about 4 more weeks and it finally came in yesterday.. again, wrong. This time a lot closer to the original sample, but there were some big enough differences still that I wasn't comfortable taking it home, I wanted it to be made correctly first.
Now it is being remade for a 3rd time. The jeweler hired by the store owner is literally making a 3rd whole new ring. I am really starting to lose faith that they can actually make a good enough replica of the ring I ordered, but they convinced me to go through it again. I don't have much information about how long it will take or how certain I am it will come out right, but I need encouragement from the hive!
Has anyone else had an experience like this? Sorry I don't have any pictures to share :(
