Did you exchange new rings at your vow renewal?
If no new ring did yiu echange another piece of jewelry? Perhaps necklaces or watches.
If you did exchange new rings did it replace (upgrade, re-design or otherwise) your original set? Or did you wear it on your right hand?

I don’t think vow renewal’s include a ring exchange.

Personally, you can do whatever you want…I don’t think there are any “set” rules for a vow renewal. My dh and I are renewing our vows in May. We are exchanging rings. We each got a new ring, my new band will be worn on my right hand though. I had bought him a new wedding band this past summer and that’s the one he will use for the renewal.

If you are getting new rings or even the older ones blessed then there could be a ring exchange.

i’m not sure–we can’t afford a ring upgrade right now, so we may just put our old rings on each other’s fingers. i am thinking of maybe a new blessing for the rings? i don’t think there are rules on this, anything goes!

I’m not planning to have a vow renewal but my friend and her husband are renewing their vows on their 20th wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks. They aren’t exchanging new rings but they do have a part of the service where they bless the rings and refer to how they were given as a sign of their marriage and now a sign of its renewal.
But there’s no set rules for vow renewals so you should do what’s right for you and your DH.

We will be exchanging new rings. My husband’s tungsten ring is scratched, so I am buying him a white gold one this time. I would like a three stone diamond ring.
