weight and bloating fluctuates throughout the day. have you changed your diet? sometimes my hands shrink up when I’m sitting in an air conditioned place for a few hours.

temporarily, see if your ring fits tighter on your right hand, or take it off and put it in a safe place if you don’t want to lose it!

When I first got my ring it was a size too large, and since it was custom made from FI’s hometown, I had to wait a couple months to get it resized. In the meantime, I wrapped some twine around the bottom to keep it on. . . You can try that till you can figure out whether to really get it resized. Maybe all 4 pounds came from your fingers 😉

well, congrats on the weight loss!

the string idea is a good one, I’ll have to try that on some of my cheaper right hand rings!

Go get a ring snuggie – they sell them at like Walmart in the jewelry section for like 2 dollars – its just a little piece of rubbery plastic that sits on the bottom of the ring so that it makes it snugger.

The flesh on your finger tends to shrink where the ring sits over time, so it will feel looser than when you first got it, and then it will shrink again to adjust for your wedding band.  My friend warned me about that so I got a ring that was a tad snug.  It definitely spins and feels much looser now even though I had planned for it.  You may want to get it sized down about 1/4 to 1/2 a size in a few months (to accomodate for the summer), or wear the snuggie until closer to your wedding and have everything resized.  (My rings were tight before the wedding, but I wore them together around the house for a few weeks before the wedding to let my finger start to settle down – no one wants fat fingers in the pictures!)

My finger is definitely skinnier at the bottom where my rings sit and my husband always jokes my finger looks slightly deformed.

I have a similar problem. My knuckle is much bigger than my lower finger but I lost some weight in the weeks beforemthe wedding so it spins around. It’s an”etoile” setting (French for star) soothe little diamonds are not straight across. My husband said it would be a big deal to resize it since bending the metal would affect the settings, but am going to talk to them jeweler anyway.
