You’re going to need an appraisal. My ring is insured through jewelers mutual.

I insured my Amora Gem with just a receipt and a pic (have done the same for diamonds in the past). If you want to get insurance value back for a loss though, you would need an insurance appraisal (inflated).

TrueLove407:  My fiance just had to send in pics of the rings and the receipts to his current car/renter’s insurance company. They’re insured even if they fall off my hand…which is one of my concerns because my fingers get so cold and shrink in winter!!

Use perfect circle insurance by jeweler’s mutual.  If your receipt is detailed enough you will not need an appraisal.  I have a few items insured by hem without an appraisal.

TrueLove407:  Yes they do insure all items and insure if you lose an item.  I just lost my asha stud earrings and they covered the cost of my replacement moissy stud earrings minus $20 bucks.
