We are going to Disney World, so I am taking mine.  If I were going overseas, maybe not.

We’re going to Cuba, I’m taking mine to wear at night but also a cheap cubic zirconia ‘fake’ engagement ring to wear during the day on the beach etc so my diamond isn’t damaged, & i’d rather not wear no ring.

I personally didn’t because I want to be able to hop into the ocean at a moments notice and not have to worry about my ring.

Nope. Worth too much to risk it. I also advise not getting a blingy CZ stand in. Thieves can’t tell diamond from CZ when you’re getting robbed. Skip and stick to a plain stand in if you’re worried.

Depends on where you’re going.  I wore my rings to honeymoon (St John), and to numerous vacations (Italy/Ireland/Iceland/Australia/Florida….) and hiked, snorkelled, scuba dive, hopped in pools no problem.  But did not wear it to Peru or Turkey.

Just make sure your ring is insured and bring it (wear it?) with you! I wear my ring 24/7 and have already traveled with it multiple times. I swim with mine on too (just put a bandaid above it to ensure it can’t slip off) but you could always leave it in your hotel safe for that.

tprevost:  I plan on wearing mine, but I’m making sure they are ensured first just in case.

BWLE:  A bandaid! Wow! How have I never heard/thought of this before. Thank you.

As for the original question – I’ve worn mine on all my vacations. I just don’t wear it in the ocean.

I always wear a stand-in on vacation.

We honeymoon’d in Cabo, so it isn’t really dangerous there. We both wore stand ins though so we could get into the water and sand without worrying about our rings. I’m actually really glad we wore stand ins because I mostly wore my stand in wedding band and not the E-ring. We were on the beach and in the pool too much!

I bought a stand in for our honeymoon.  I liked the freedom of having something I didn’t care about loosing while I was on vacation.
