Do people ever get tired of seeing the multiple pics of your ring?
Hahaa a ‘friend’ stopped following me on twitter ever since I started posting a lot of pictures of my e-ring lately
I personally don’t care, I am in love with my ring and the man that gave it to me.
I’m sure you bees understand =)

I don’t post my ring on facebook/twitter because I don’t think anyone really needs to see them. That’s what I have the Bee for. Maybe one when you get engaged, but after that it would be a little excessive.

@KatyElle: =) I’m glad to join the bee for this. People on instagram are accepting as well. I’m not even bragging, just admiring my ring and some don’t understand. I just recently started posting pics of the new stone because it has a different look lol

How many times are we talking here?
I have a picture of my ring from when we got engaged and there are a few pro pics from the wedding of our rings, but that’s it on my FB. I take some fairly often when I admire them, but I usually just do it to go “It looks really pretty in this lighting.” Or I use it to post on the Bee with in ring threads.

@AmeliaBedelia: just 3 pics in different angles. I got a new stone so it has a different look lol
I am not one of those girls that have an album on facebook dedicated to their rings..that is overkill

@krizzlypanda: 3 pictures seems reasonable enough to me, not blowing up a newsfeed or having an entire album.

It can feel a little braggy to post too many pictures of your ring on social media to people you know.
There are lots of jewellery appreciation sites you can post lots of pictures to though. Like Pricescope and Ringenvy

Perhaps they are just a tad jealous?

I’d never post my ring on Facebook but that’s just me. The only time I’d find it acceptable is right when you get engaged. Or in a wedding album. But I wouldn’t randomly take a pic and post it. I think there are too many haters out there and my ring will be very personal, I don’t want random high school friends/acquaintances seeing it.
I actually had a guy once on FB make a VIDEO of the ring in the jewelry box, moving the box with his hand so it kept sparkling, and posted it on Facebook. It was almost a minute long. I thought to myself, is this guy serious? So tacky! Someone must have told him to take it down because it wasn’t there a couple days later. I’ll also note this guy is known to be very braggy, a show off, and usually charges a lot of nice stuff that he can’t really afford. And puts it all on FB to show everyone. He has been defriended since then.

i have posted two pics on FB of my ring. the first was a dodgy phone camera pic at night the night we got engaged. the other although not pro is a gorgeous shot that FI took of it

I think posting them here is cool because everyone’s interested in seeing them, but I wouldn’t post them on something like facebook.

@MabelleBliss: Ditto, when I opened this I was worried I’d see a rant about people posting ring pics here!

I made an album on Facebook with my ring. But it’s only 4 pictures and all my Facebook friends are real life friends who were dying to know when the (custom made) ring was done. It was his mom’s diamond from his dad in a random setting when we got it and given free reign to recast/sell/etc. The diamond is awesome so we just recast the gold. Being my FB friends were real life friends, it seemed perfectly natural to post it on FB. I guess it depends on who your friends on Facebook are!

@Rubbs: I think she is. She has been with her bf for 7 years and haven’t popped the question yet.
She was my best friend since 8th grade and she hasn’t been talking to me lately ever since I’ve gone full force with planning the wedding.

I haven’t posted any new photos of my ring since we got engaged, but will add a shot or two from the wedding as part of the wedding album. =) I do think posting a lot fo pictures repeatedly can get tiring for those who have you on their news feed, it’s like someone posting a picture of your new nail polish color every few days when you change it, who wants to see that on repeat?
Thankfully, there are communities out there that love to share the sparklie love, so that’s where I choose to post lots of pictures on a semi regular basis.
