Hi! I already have a princess cut halo and the halo is actually a separate piece that is around the prongs, I don’t know if you see what I mean. I guess it may be possible for a experimented jeweller to “add” this square piece around the center stone (but I am not a jeweller, you should just pass by and ask).

This is not my ring but you can see the detail I was talking about

You could look at wraps?

There are some gorgeous wraps out there. My first set (first marriage) had a wrap and I loved it. Made my ring completely unique.

What the jeweler does is get a separate head that already has a halo on it.  He then swaps out your head for the halo one.  If you have a simple solitaire, it should be able to be done fairly easily.  I know someone that had this done.

@hannahlily:  was yours added on or was it already on there, just around the prongs?

mine was already there around the prongs

is the halo set lower than the actual center diamond?

the halo is actually set in the middle-lower part of the stone. The upper part of the stone is visible as well as the lower part so it gives a very beautiful look, like a Saturn ring or something like that! 🙂

I really love it, it is not too over the top but still gives an extra delicate blingy touch

for most halos you’ll have to get an entirely new setting.  I’d ask a jeweler, though, to see if what you’re talking about is possible.
