megs24:  Based on those pictures, I think it actually looks better now. I’m guessing the ‘too thick band’ that you are referring to is from the side view? They may have done that to make it stronger? The other difference I see is that there is less of an ‘air line’ – that gap between the center diamond and the halo looks smaller in the reset. It may be the photo playing tricks on me but the halo diamonds in the original ring don’t seem to match up in size? Looks more even on the reset.

Your after photos are blurrier, so it’s harder to say, but I agree that the after looks better, at least in terms of the center stone/halo ratio.

It looks much, much better in the new setting. The old setting had way too much airline, IMHO. When that happens it makes the center stone look smaller, no matter how big the halo.

Yeah, I actually like the new setting a lot better for the top view.  The side view looks a little better in the before picture, it looks more like prong set than the more solid looking new one.  But side views are important to me so for me, I wouldnt bother changing it again for that reason.

It looks SO much better now. Yes, it is thicker, but your stones are properly set, and I love it without the obvious airline that was present before.

megs24:  I’m not into halos but the after pics are WAAAAY better. I wouldn’t fear. They did a good job! 🙂

The new setting is beautiful, I much prefer it over the first.

I honestly like your new setting alot better…its looks like its much higher quality than the first.the first ring has whats called an air line halo where theres a small gap between the center stone and halo also giving the illusion thats its floating. The new setting there is no air line and is flush with the stone which in my opinion looks better..but your happiness is all that matters..if you dont like it then take it back and see if they can fix it for you..goodluck

The new setting is better imo! The halo hugs your stone tighter and the whole setting seems sturdier. Love it!
