My engagement ring is just a little bit too large. I don’t want to get it sized until I pick out my band so I know where it will sit on my finger. Does anyone have any suggestions for ring size adjusters that slip over the band that I can use for a temporary fix? Thanks!

@Tigrrlily04: I was in the same spot – just a little loose, but knew in the summer when my fingers swell a little it would fit fine.
I went to a local jewelry store and got a ring guard for mine. It’s a little piece of metal that they put across the bottom of the ring (its just wrapped, not like soldered on or anything). It was like $8.

I have some plastic ring adjusters that I always offer to send people, but no one ever takes me up on it (ok, one person has). If you want to try some, I will gladly send them to you.
I bought them for another ring and didn’t much care for them, and they came in a pack of ten.

I used a little plastic one. If you are planning on soldering your rings together, wait until afterward because my rings are now a little tight because I sized down my engagment ring.

I’m so glad to see I’m not the only one wondering about this — I just dropped off my e-ring and band today to get resized because I know in the summer, they’ll be too tight. Then I started worrying about them being too loose when they come back in a few weeks and wanted to see what a solution was. Phew!
