Awesome!!!! You should def. go look at rings too! When I was looking at rings online I liked a totally different style than when we went to go try on rings.
I also got a feel for what HE liked too because that was (sorta) important too lol

@futuremrsbyrd: nope, no budget. I just sent him a picture of the setting that I like which is the Tiffany style knife edge solitaire with 6 prongs.

That's exciting! Yes, definitely try it on before you show it to him to make sure you love it as much in person. When we first first first started looking, I was all about modern, clean, princess cut diamond e-rings, and I ended up with a vintage style oval. ;) And I can't imagine loving anything more! Sometimes things look different on your finger!

Yay!!!! definitely go try it on! I kept thinking i would not want a solitaire and i wanted a three stone but i actually like the solitaire rings best!

My bf took me this weekend to window shop ha It was great he was so into it more than me..and I didn't realize how picky he was until then...he wanted to see a 1 carat on my finger (i'm definitely not complaining) so hopefully when the time is right it will happen. It was fun trying on all the gorgeous rings, but he know's my ring of choice is the classic Tiffany setting :)

fantastic! i second going ring shopping. you might change your mind on what you want, i know i did! plus it's kind of fun too modeling all the sparklies. you would have thought i was a contortionist the way i was turning my hand to catch every single drop of light possible!
I completely changed my mind on what "I wanted" when I went shopping and actually tried them on. Then again, I probably would have been completely fine with whatever if I NEVER had tried any on and knew that some were better than others. But, I "should" be getting something that's perfect for me and not just pretty to me.
I agree with Honeybear, DEF go try on rings. I had a ring I wanted for 3 y3ars and when I went to go try on rings with my BF's mother I fell in love with a ring I never thought I would! That first ring is now my 3rd choice! Have fun with it and good luck!
I agree. When I went this past weekend, it was a great experience. He had more fun with it then I did. He was asking the consultant to let me try on everything and she was very helpful. Next up is Tiffanys!! We make it a fun experience by dressing up going to eat breakfast, or lunch. He definitely is a sweetheart. We both learned a lot about what we like and don't like, and now he has a perfect idea for what to get when he feels the time is right.

I am now going to completely DROP the engagement talk (and jump back on the Christmas/ Valentine's Challenge)
