Just for fun…. how many of you did the ring test for your LO’s gender?? If so, did it predict the correct gender??
My hubs and I did the test last night and it was circling like crazy, so according to that, we’re having a girl. We don’t know what we’re having yet as it’s too early, but we will be finding out. I’m so interested to see if the ring test was right! 🙂

is this the one where you dangle a ring on a piece of string over your bump and if it circles its a girl and if it swings its a boy? I might try this tonight

I’ve done it and it went CRAZY circling for a boy!! But we don’t know the answer to what we’re having yet.

@ChocolateLime: Yup… the one on the string 🙂
@Mrsluckywife: I’ve read that the circling should be for a girl, and the back and forth is for a boy? Hey, if circling is for boy… my hubs is gonna be super happy!! 🙂

I did this! And it was wrong! I did it like 3 times and each time it circled for a girl–and I’m having a boy!

i didnt do this but i know someone who has 3 kids and they did it for all of them, three girls. & the ring test was right.

I did this and it circled (girl) and then went back and forth (boy) meaning that I should have a girl first and then a boy next. I find out in SIX days what we’re having 🙂

@jesstagirl: I’m going to do it again and see what happens… it looked to me like it was going back and forth first, but I couldn’t really tell because I was laying on the floor doing it myself and trying to look. Hubby wasn’t paying attention at first.
I’m not putting any stock into this as far as it being correct in predicting our LO’s gender, but just for fun. We won’t know until the week after Christmas 🙁

Mine was making small circles but I am having a boy.

I haven’t done the ring test specifically, but I did do two similar tests using a pencil tied to a string (one held over my belly and the other held over my wrist). Both tests said boy, but turns out I’m having a girl. I was curious about how these sorts of tests work out for others!

The ring test, Chinese gender prediction chart, and morning sickness old wives’ tale all said our baby was a girl. Yet, we know our baby is a boy-100% certain it is a boy. I hear that the ring test has been right for a lot of people.

hmm this sounds fun to try, but doesn’t seem like it would have a lot of ability of predicting above chance (50%).
At least with things like “carrying high/low” I could sort of vaguely see how that might relate to male vs. female hormones…
