I understand that your rings would feel a bit tigher when both are on your hand as opposed to either ring alone, since they each would take up space on your finger, pushing more flesh to one side or the other. What I am trying to figure out is, if you put your wedding band on alone, and you can get it to go all the way down your finger, why can't you do that when you put that ring on first and then add the e-ring in front of it? If you still can do that, is the problem that, when you add the e-ring you just can't get it to go any further down on your finger, and, so, to be able to wear them right next to each other, you then have to move the wedding band back up to meet the e-ring?
When i put them on one at a time i get get them both down all the way, but they are very tight. I have some major finger muffin top and they dont feel comfortable....
do you guys think this is caused more by the band or the e-ring? What have other ladies done to solve the problem?
I think it depends - do you ever plan on wearing your band alone? I think that would make a difference as to how you would size it....you don't want it to be TOO big.
I actually have the same exact problem. I have my engagement ring (which is sized SLIGHTLY too big) and two bands, which are both tight. Yet they're all the same size. Not sure what to do either...
take a look at this pic. Right at the base of your finger is actually skinnier than between the knuckes. 
if you're wearing one ring only, it sits right in the skinny part. but if you're wearing 2, the second ring is on the fleshier part, making it fee tighter. My w band (which sits in the skinny part) is a 5, but my e ring (which sits in the fleshy part)is a 5.25 to compensate for that.
It's not one or the other, it's both together. Talk to a jeweler but I'd get them both sized up .25-.5 if they are that uncomfortable when on together.

It is so weird, i can wear my E-ring alone and the band alone and they fit fine. When i wear them together they seem so much tigher and I can only get them down just past my knuckle. How much should i get both sized up? Or should just the Wedding band be sized up? How much would you guys go up?
