I just wear one now (my engagement ring), but I used to always wear one ring on each ring finger.

@Epicpooka:  I wear two rings; my engagement ring on my left hand and my grandmother’s diamond ring on my right hand ring finger. Since it’s platinum and diamond, people assumed it was an engagement ring before I got my actual engagement ring even though it was on my right hand. I have since  found out that some cultures (including my parents’ culture) wear their wedding rings on their right hands.

Anyway, since I have now become engaged, with a ring on my left hand, it’s been fine. I, too, feel rather blingy sometimes but it’s been mostly okay. People don’t even notice my right hand ring as much. It’s kind of funny, because when we went wedding ring shopping, the retailer asked my SO why he bought me two rings already and why I want another one! Haha!

@Epicpooka:  Before my engagement ring, I had my promise ring (which has a lot of tiny diamonds) and a twisted metal band. When I got engaged, I gave the band to my sister and planned to wear my promise ring on my right hand – but it doesn’t fit on my right hand, so I just stopped wearing it.

Right now, I only wear my engagement and wedding rings. However, I am looking into getting a particular right hand ring that has a prominent emerald cut gemstone in the centre. I think your combo will work fine!

@Epicpooka:  I got used to it. I’m not really into jewelry apart from earrings and I always wear my grandmother’s ring. I felt really ostentatious the first couple weeks, but I got over it and it doesn’t really bother me any more.

I say that if you love your sister’s ring, enjoy it!

Here is a picture of my grandmother’s ring that I wear on my right hand ring finger. I have seen Bees wearing such a ring as an engagement ring.

Here is a picture of my engagement ring: Please excuse the crappy iPhone quality of my pictures!

I have the engagement ring (which will eventually be accompanied by the matching wedding band) on my left hand, and I wear my late grandmother’s ring on my right hand. It has a rectangular aquamarine with three small diamonds making the shape of triangles on other side. I also have a promise ring, with a solitaire round diamond, but I’m not currently wearing that because I don’t know where to put it! I dislike more than one ring per hand, and I’m really only comfy with rings on my ring fingers, so I’m at a loss on what to do with the promise ring. I used to wear it on my right hand until I inherited my grandmother’s ring.

Congrats, by the way!

I wear two: my engagement ring and a ring that my FI got me for my bday when we were first dating. Our first Christmas together we were just kids (17), he bought me a white gold ring with a pink saphire and some small diamonds. I love this ring and can’t give up wearing it because of the sentimental value with it (please excuse the bandaid, I burnt my finger while we were making crab cakes) youch!

I wear two rings, possibly four once my wedding set comes in. I wear my engagement ring as a wedding ring on my left hand and I wear a blue topaz ring on my right hand that my father gave me when I was in middle school. I will be getting a custom made engagement ring and wedding band once my set is complete, and I plan on fitting my existing engagement ring with another stone and wearing it as well.

@Epicpooka:  It’s god’s honest truth though. If I like a ring, I buy it, and then I wear it. If it looks like an engagement ring… so what? Everyone pretty much already knows what my engagement ring looks like, and by wearing another ring that looks engagementy, it’s not like anyone is going to think, “Oh, I guess she got engaged again! Wonder if it is twice to the same fellow or to a new one!” although that would be pretty funny if it happened. The most they might think is “damn that girl has a lot of jewelry” but, well, that’s also the truth, so no problem with them thinking that.
