Hi fitness bees! I just started Jillian’s “Ripped in 30” DVD and was wondering if anyone else here is doing it. If so, what is your experiance? I have started exercising for health, ot so much to lose weight but I figured “go big or go home” LOL
I downloaded the meal plans toaday and they seem totally doable although I was a little disappointed that many of the lunches were cook-and-eat instead of being transportable. I am thinking of cooking the dinner meals to take to school/work with me and having the lunches as dinners. How was shopping for the meal plan?

I just bought it! I was taking a week off after my race (I run 5ish days a week) and will be starting the 30 days tomorrow. Where did you find the meal plans? I haven’t checked them out yet.

I haven’t been doing the meal plan, just eating healthier generally, but I loooove Ripped in 30! I’ve been doing it for a few weeks and I’m definitely noticing a difference, especially in my abs and butt, haha. I also am only doing it every other day and am starting to add in runs. I think I’ll be getting better about the running when it’s not freezing outside! It’s definitely tough, especially as you go up levels, but it’s only like 25 min, so you can do it!! 🙂 Good luck!

I’m on week 2 (but have been doing each level for 2 weeks) and I like it but I haven’t really noticed weight loss (actually gained some the first week and a half and have finally lost that initial gain). I’ve decided to include my regular elliptical routine since I love that I’m actually working with weights but I feel like I need more cardio. I haven’t followed her meal plan but FI and I do try to eat healthy (not super strict and we do love our sweets!).

@Tmpalm: I just googled “Ripped in 3 meal plan”. It is free, and (luckily) many of the meals have a lot of the same ingredients. She also says that you can choose any of the options….you don’t HAVE to stick to the exact meal each day. I chose three of the breakfasts, and a few of the lunc/dinners. Ultimately, I will be cooking other things, especially when it come to lunches.
I am starting Monday. Sunday will be my rest day. Good luck, ladies! Feel free to post progres/ complaints/ vents 🙂 I know I will!

Currently, I’m on week 3 and am scheduled to start week 4 on Monday. I am not following the meal plan. I have not lost any weight but I have gotten stronger and have gained muscle and endurance. If I would have followed the meal plan, I would get better results. I am basically using Ripped in 30 as a stepping stone to Insanity. When I start Insanity, I will follow the suggested meal plan because I want to do it right this time! Good luck with the program! My only complaint is Jillian Michaels herself. I like her, but her voice is starting to annoy me 🙂
